Jasper's Story
GLWR was contacted from a humane society in Ohio about Jasper. He had been hit by a car and the humane society picked him up. The owner said he couldn't pay to have his leg fixed and asked to put him down. GLWR took him in and contacted Great Lakes Surgeons.
He ended up needing a rod in his leg. Jasper took weeks to recover and needed help getting in and out to go potty. Our foster mom had a sling for him to move him in and out because he was such a big boy.
Sometime during his recovery, a relative of the owner who wanted him put down, contacted us and was appalled at what had happened and helped pay for Jasper's medical expenses. She soon wanted to adopt him. He is finally in a home that loves him - they keep GLWR informed on his progress and he'll never have to worry about his previous owner's intentions.

GLWR would like to Thank everyone who has offered their support! We can't do it without you!
