Lola came into our lives when she was 7-8 weeks old after having a rough start in her life.  She and her litter mates had been tied in a plastic bag, placed in a box and then abandoned in a rest area in northern MI.

A traveler saw her outside the bag and called the sheriff who was unable to get there right away.  The traveler could not wait so she took Lola home with her for a few weeks and then called Rescue.

We volunteered to foster her, found out we had a big challenge in this "wild child" and decided to adopt her  We have done several obedience classes and am proud to say that Lola earned her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) award at 9 months and is now a very loving 16 month old!
