Dear GLWR Mom and Dad,

I know you and my mom talk sometimes, but I thought I’d better write you this note and confess all by myself before she tells you…Last night, when my new mom got home from work we went outside and played in the snow for awhile. Then, after she thought she tired me out, she went upstairs to change. (But shhhh…I wasn’t as tired as she thought I was) Soooo, I thought it would be fun to keep on playing and I found this white envelope thingy…There was a bunch of rectangle size papers inside with pictures of guys on them. I had a lot of fun tearing their little heads off and making lots of teeny-tiny pieces out of the paper.
My mom was gone for just a few minutes - but when she heard the ripping sounds of the new game I just invented she came to investigate…She yelled “NO” and said something about eating money (what’s money ???) and that it wasn’t such a swell idea for me to do that. Then she hurried up and called my aunt (who works at a credit union) to ask what she should do with the shredded bills…
Oh yeah, one more thing…my mom said I have really good taste cuz I ripped up FOUR of those Ben Franklin guys but I didn’t touch any of those George Washington dudes…Want to know something even more funny??? My dad got in more trouble than I did cuz he left the money out for me to play with…(hee hee) Plus he’s gotta take all those teeny-tiny pieces to the bank and trade them in for new ones with their little heads and bad hair all back in one piece AND he’s gotta say the “dog ate it” – for real!!
We haven’t learned about not shredding money in dog school yet - so I think I have pretty good alibi don’t you??? Whew – I feel better now that I told you (plus my new mom thought it was kinda funny...she said it got even funnier after she talked to my aunt about it being okay to trade in the ripped up stuff for new stuff..)
I’m gonna try and be a good boy today – but I guess that will depend on what my dad leaves out for me to play with…cuz his stuff is WAAAAY more fun than that big basket of toys I have… Love ya! Nicky
